Abstract

How can human beings make sense of reality? Starting from the assumption that life does not coincide only with the living body, but also with the work of the spirit, philosophy has always been characterized as spiritual nourishment and appropriation of knowledge, essentially as a reflection on the meaning of life. For Jaspers it resides in the awareness and acceptance of the border. Only this can lead to the birth of a responsibility, understood as a moral duty, which human beings find in the symbol and in love.
