Abstract
This paper examines several words from a mid-sixteenth-century school codex. These words are contained in five bilingual (Latin and Italian) letters, written by Filippo Venuti da Cortona. Some words have been backdated, while for others some variants, previously ignored by Italian dictionaries, have been here recorded
