Abstract

The article examines the first grammar of the Latin language written in Italian, published in 1529. After providing the essential information in the text, its main linguistic characteristics are described. The terminology of the rhetorical figures is then analysed, reconstructing their history (especially through a systematic comparison with humanistic grammars). Finally, we would like to point out the many grammatical terms that are attested for the first time in the work.
