Abstract

There is no doubt that Karl Rahner’s reflection has an important and essential role in twentieth-century theology. The reason lies in his proposal linked to the anthropological turning point as a leitmotif of the entire architecture of theological knowledge. It is not just a question of method, which is also decisive for theological renewal, but also a contribution to epistemology called to dialogue with other sciences around the question of the connection between reality, truth and knowledge. Hence, the theological importance of Christian humanism whose proposal not only offers a vision of the world in company with those who ask questions of meaning, but contributes to the translation of that «Christology of research» which indicates in the God of men a surprising news.
