Abstract
The data relating to the last electoral rounds of the Regional Councils of Social Workers (croas) show low passive and active electoral participation, with a consequent disconnection between the community and those who govern it and a question of representativeness of the orders with respect to the professional community. The recent introduction of online voting has had positive effects on the levels of both active and passive participation, even though signs of disaffection to the participation in the life of the professional community remains. The data analysis aims to answer the research question about the characteristics of the participation of the professional community in the choice of its representative bodies and the results have generated reflections and proposals that question the professional community on the path to take to further strengthen the relationship between members and croas.
