Abstract

The article analyzes the language, the lexicon, the syntax used by Alberto Asor Rosa in Amori sospesi, the collection of short stories published in 2017, highlighting the composite and personal linguistic mixture and the great attention to the formal aspects of writing. To write his stories, the author used a complete Italian language, ancient and modern, literary and common, spoken and written, daily and sublime: the Italian of yesterday and today, represented in all its aspects. The analysis aims to help readers identify all the pieces that make up the precious language used by Alberto Asor Rosa in his latest novel
