Abstract
The paper offers the critical edition of the short piece titled "Hostel for Young ladies" which constitutes the first part of Alba de Cespedes's diary n. 3; it has not been published yet, as well almost the writer's diaries, nowadays at Fondazione Mondadori in Milan. The fragmens is particularly interesting within de Céspedes's diaristic production due to the writer's autobiographic experience told by a female character acting in a pension for female students. In this short fragmens we can find the first narrative core of de Céspedes's novel "There's no turning back", published in 1938 by Mondadori.
