Abstract

Said, Iranian poet who escaped voluntarily very young to Germany, is still almost unknown in Italy, although he received many literary prizes. The essay analyses his production of prose: the only novel of Said, some textdocumentaries and some fairy tales, in particular Landschaften einer fernen Mutter, Der lange Arm der Mullahs, Es war einmal eine Blume, Dieses Tier, das es nicht gibt. The work intends to demonstrate how each literary genre will highlight peculiar thoughts of Said and how the most important themes of the author are presented with different emphasis in the various genres: politics, love, religion, personal relationship with the German language, reworking of his childhood.
