Abstract
Within the process of publication of a book written in Italian by migrant authors, the editing phase requests specific professional abilities, as linguistic and stylistic peculiarities have to be preserved. After a short introduction about some critics' contributes, a collection of interviews to professional editors from some of the most active Italian publishing houses interested in migrant authors - Edizioni Dell'Arco (Milan), La Compagnia delle Lettere (Rome) and Fara Editore (Sant'Arcangelo di Romagna) - shows different approaches to the issue. The essay concludes with a comparative analysis between an author's first draft and the edited version.
