Abstract
The essay takes into consideration "Il Re Torrismondo", tragedy of Tasso, and the particular relationship between the magic and the possible of reality in a special view of the natural and supernatural worlds. The essay converse with B. T. Sozzi's critic suggestion, the "magismo" in "The Gerusalemme Liberata" as vital element of the poem, less important in the other Tasso's plays, for example, in "Re Torrismondo". Instead, the analysis of the tragedy show that "magismo" is a vital and constant element of inventive poetic Tasso's world in a singular correspondence with cultural, aesthetic, philosophic visions of Controriformistic times.
