Abstract
The purpose of this paper is a quantitative and qualitative investigation into the study of onomatopoeic sounds, which can be uncovered in the French and Italian versions of Mickey Mouse. This survey will take place through a comparison between the French and Italian stories and, at the same time, by a focus on onomatopoeic sounds as the concrete signs of the use of informal language. French Corpus: "Le Journal de Mickey" from 1934 (number 1) to 1937 (7 numbers) and "Picsou" (from 1977 to 1984), about 60 stories. Italian Corpus: "Nel Regno di Topolino" from 1936 to 1939 (8 comics) and "Topolino" (from 1977 to).
