Abstract

Why according to Goethe "Sicily is the key to everything"? Because it is an intermediate space, border and at the same time a contact-barrier between the classicity and the actualities of life, where there is a translucency effect that allows you to continuously see the past through the present; because its territory is a creative filter that stimulates to observe nature throught the eyes of art; because it expresses in the highest degree the sense of illusion as a substantial factor of perception and therefore nourishes vision with imagination.
