Abstract

The essay aims to propose a possible addition to the catalog of the painter Bartolomeo Passerotti. It is a painting that has remained outside the historical-artistic research. There are strong stylistic evidences in support of this thesis, as well as several clues that I list in the writing.In addition to this I believe that there are quite a few probabilities that the subject represented is the historian Carlo Sigonio by virtue of a series of clues that these too I will explain in the text
