Abstract
The discovery of new documents in the Rome State’s Archive allows to reflect about questions related to the Primitifs’ market and the protection of the artistic heritage in the Papal State during the first quarter of the Nineteenth Century, helped by original informations about two paintings by Niccolò di Liberatore
