Abstract
The Lab of the Professional Master's degree in Architectonical Restoration represents the element of continuity accompanying the didactics' development and entirely dedicated to the application of a study case. In 2011 and 2012, the Torre dei Conti - massive medieval building now disused and partially compromised - has been chosen as it. It presents itself as a joint between the modern Via Cavour and the visible ruins of Nerva's forum. The Lab's aim is to teach how a restoration project's redaction develops with available dates and in a given time. In this case, the Municipal Superintendence of Rome allowed access and made the necessary material within a fruitful tenyear cooperation to the Professional Master's degree in Architectonical Restoration of RomaTre University. The results are shown in the tables illustrating the article; they provide documentary evidence of the subjects discussed in the Lab: restoration of the building at its current conditions; re-creation of the original image through partial or entire reconstruction of its collapsed parts; restoration of the Tower's current urban context.
