Abstract

Italian Food is right under our eyes but it can hardly be described. The contributions regarding this topic here developed focus the attention on the scenarios within which the label "Italian food" produces meaning and becomes a product with its own flourishing market. The millenary history that contributes to its revenue - including narrative cues - is not a negligible factor in helping us to understand its fame, as long as we also consider the almost mythopoetic uses that can be found in some considerations, even scientific ones, regarding food.
