Abstract
In this essay I show how the educational system in Israel is shaped by the religious nature of the State, although in Jaffa there are mixed schools where both Palestinian and Israeli children learn together. Inclusion is a hard goal to achieve in time of conflicts and tensions but a common target for many parents and teachers. My research confirms that it is neither possible nor desirable to stop this process of mixing and educators, parents and kids involved are unavoidably part of it.
