Abstract
This paper aims to discuss the conceptual premises that Michel Henry establishes in his most well-known text, L’Essence de la manifestation (1963). In particular, this contribution will attempt to bring out the authentic nature of what, according to the thinker, can be designated as the essence of manifestation – that is, a vitality immanent to itself and to the entities that crowd the horizon of visibility – highlighting some critical issues underlying the henryen speculative structure
