Abstract
Following the report of Donata Gottardi, the author reflects on collective bargaining situation in Italy, in comparison with the German experience. Particularly, he takes into consideration some issues: the role of legislation, which he thinks should not be over-evaluated; the question of references by legislation to collective bargaining; the decentralization of bargaining; the consequences of "austerity" policies on salaries.
