Abstract

The article deals with the forms of political participation of immigrants in the Italian context, focusing on consultative bodies at the regional and local levels. The main theoretical and practical issues concerning these bodies are addressed through the analysis of the experience of Regione Marche. The article argues that the role of Regions should be to support and network the participation initiatives at the local level, which proved to be more effective and active than the regional ones.
