Abstract
In the article is described the Italian adaptation for pre-adolescents of the Children's Eating Attitude Test (ChEAT) of Maloney et al. (1988). The instrument is articulated in a subscale that examine the attitude in relation to control of weight. In all the stage of analysis of the construct validity has involved about 1.300 pre-adolescents of both sorts. The concurrent and discriminant validity have been verified on a sample of 425 subjects aged 12 through 14 years. The instrument presents a good concurrent validity and a good level of reliability. Have been verified significative differences between groups with high and low inclination to eating disorder.
