Abstract
The theoretical models which habitually inform the concepts of psychopathology are a fundamental aspect of assessments, which is the process that provides guidelines for the choice of instruments, and which includes testing. The aim of this contribution is to highlight how the choice of instruments to be administered needs to be informed both by the psychopathological model with the greatest explanatory power of the dys-functions put forth, and by the instruments themselves.
