Abstract
This article offers some considerations on the cultural life at the court of Robert of Anjou (1309-1343). Drawing on a recently published volume devoted to the philosophical, scientific and artistic culture of Robert’s Naples, it surveys the studies on the subject while proposing some considerations on issues still sub iudice, such as the encyclopaedic or possibly proto-humanistic nature of Angevin culture.
