Abstract
The essay presents an exploratory research that investigated the condition of poverty in people followed by social services and the interventions that were proposed to them by social workers. The research offers a look at poverty from different perspectives: that of those who experience it and that of those who, working in the Services, intervene to combat it. The methodology used in the research was qualitative: for users, the biographical approach with life stories was preferred; the social workers, instead, were interviewed through the administration of a semi-structured interview
