Abstract

The article proposes an extended commentary on the concluding verses of Paradiso VII, in which Dante postulates a problematic relationship between the final resurrection of the bodies and the way in which the body of Adam and Eve was created by God. By departing from the current discussion, which favors the Thomistic source, the author hypothesizes an influence of Franciscan scholastic literature on the particular Dante formulation of the problem.
