Abstract
The essay takes into consideration stylistic, linguistic and formal aspects of "Horcynus Orca" of Stefano D'Arrigo, and offers some ideas on the peculiar process of changes ('varianti') of writing between the first and the late draft of the work. The result is a mixture of voices that characterizes the work as epos and cancels the novel's plurivocity.
