Abstract
The article explores the connection between narration, memorialization and urban space in Roma negata. Percorsi postcoloniali nella città, by Igiaba Scego and Rino Bianchi. The author examines the still visible traces of colonial history within the city of Rome and underlines the continuity between such history and the contemporary immigration from former Italian colonies. The article also analyzes the presence of migrants in the eternal city, scrutinizing how Scego’s narration re-signifies and decolonizes the urban space.
